Avocado Toast, In a Gluten-Free Way

This week, we are making avocado toast in a spectacular fashion. In food land, avocado toast is the complete package in both content, character, and visual appeal. A chunky avocado with chopped heirloom tomatoes on top of gluten-free toast is more than one could ask for.
Avocados are what we here at Gluten-Free Noms call a perfect food, because they are in fact perfection. Avocados are a fruit, and more than that, they are a berry. A delicious berry with a hard pit. The berry contains a high amount of monounsaturated fat, which is good fat along with vitamins and minerals. Encased in it's own packaging, avocados come complete, unbothered by branding.
My avocado toast recipe is simple, yet has the complexity in flavors to make this toast a meal. Let’s begin with the ingredients.
1 ripe organic avocado
½ of a heirloom tomato
Maldon salt
Pepper
Fresh lemon
Gluten free toast
Cooking Instructions
Half of a ripe avocado
Chop roughly in its shell and squeeze into a bowl
Half and chop a ripe tomato
Add maldon salt and pepper to avocado and tomatoes
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon
Toast a piece of gluten-free toast to a toasty brown
Add butter or oil to the toast
Pile the avocado and tomatoes onto the toast
