A mainstay on my grocery list is the grocery store rotisserie chicken. After the best parts of the chicken have been picked off, the remains can be the flavor bomb that unfolds into a beautiful chicken stock and chicken soup.


Full of seasonings, fat, and flavor the little bits of meat that fall off the bones as the broth slowly simmers, release the nutrients and warmth of the chicken to a dinner table. A homemade chicken stock is as rich as velvet so save the bones and skin to make a soup that could rival even an age old family recipe.
